1. In the present context of globalization, the demand for skilled and multi-skilled workers has increased.

2. Therefore in the context of developing countries, such as India, there is a critical need for quality skill development & training.

3. Between now and 2025 over 250 million young people will enter the Indian workforce. (ISB Insight, Volume 9, Issue 3)

4. Only 5% of youth aged 20-24 have obtained vocational skills through a formal training system (GoI, Press Information Bureau)

5. In order to prepare youth for the demands of the job market, Jharkhand state needs to:

  • Expand vocational training and skill development for high growth sectors.
  • Set standards for training to ensure quality and provide accountability.

6. So in the above context we have initiated youth empowerment project through partnership model with several reputed Skill organization to create sustainable programs for training and retraining of youth for employability or entrepreneurship including vocational skilling, job placement and the creation of enterprises.
