Many young women still believe that talking about menstrual hygiene cannot be done openly due to prevailing social norms, fear of judgment, and long-standing cultural taboos.

To respond to these gaps, SOLUTION implemented a Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHH) initiative to support adolescent girls aged of 10-19 yrs by distributing MHH kits containing sanitary pads and essential hygiene items and awareness sessions on safe menstrual hygiene practices. The programme focused on improving access to quality menstrual products, promoting informed and hygienic behaviors, and fostering a supportive environment that ensures comfort and dignity. All awareness activities were conducted in a sensitive and participatory manner, encouraging open dialogueand confidence among participants and strengthening menstrual health and hygiene among adolescent girls in the community by ensuring reliable access to essential products and practical knowledge.
